Who should take the PTE Academic test?
All students applying to study in US, Australia,UK, Canada, New Zealand and any other English speaking country can take the PTE Academic test to prove their English Proficiency Levels.
Who will administer PTE Academic test?
PTE Academic is created and administered by Pearson Language Tests part of the Pearson PLC group.
How can I register for the test?
You can register for the PTE Academic test online. If you are a first time test taker, you will have to create a web account to schedule the test. If you are a returning test taker, you can use your existing web account to register for another test.
How much does the PTE Academic test cost?
The PTE exam fees in India for the PTE Academic exam is ₹ 17,000 (inclusive of 18% tax) and that for the PTE Home exam is ₹ 14,435 INR. The base PTE Exam Fee for PTE Academic in India is INR 14,406.78 and an additional 18% tax payable, INR 2,593.22 bringing the total PTE test price to INR 17,000.
Can I reschedule my test?
You can reschedule for free if you have at least 14 calendar days before your test.You can reschedule up to six times.
If you cancel at least 14 days before your test, you’ll get a full refund.If you cancel between 13 and 8 days before your test, you’ll get a 50% refund.
Can I cancel my test?

Where is the test conducted?
The test is conducted at Pearson Testing Centers. In India, the test centers are in Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Kochi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, and New Delhi. There are more centers opening soon.
How and when will I get my results?
PTE scores are typically released within two working days of taking your PTE exam. This time may exceed in exceptional conditions; however, the PTE results release time will never exceed 5 days. Candidates can share their PTE results with their chosen universities through the “My PTE” portal.
How can I send my scores to universities?
To send your PTE scores to universities, log in to your “myPTE” account on the Pearson PTE website, navigate to “My Activity”, select “Send Scores”, and then search for the desired university by name to send your digital score report directly to them; you can send your scores to multiple institutions at once.
How long are my PTE Academic scores valid?
PTE Academic test scores are valid for 2 years.
How often can I take the PTE Academic test?
According to Pearson PTE policy, you can take the PTE Academic test as many times as you want, but you can only take it a maximum of 12 times within a 12-month period; meaning you can retake the test multiple times within a year, but not more than 12 times in total within that timeframe.
