Why are the Reading and Listening scores shown at the end of the test unofficial?

How do I send my TOEFL iBT scores to institutions? How much does it cost?
Your test fee includes up to four free official TOEFL score reports to be sent to institutions you select before the test. You can add or delete recipients through your ETS account until 10 p.m. (local test center time) on the day before your test. Additional score reports can be ordered for a fee of US$25 per institution.
You can confirm receipt by checking with the institution’s admissions office. Some institutions may provide online portals where you can track your application status.
Why might an institution not receive my TOEFL iBT scores?
Possible reasons include incorrect recipient information, delays in processing, or technical issues. Ensure you’ve provided accurate details and allow sufficient time for delivery.
Can I cancel my TOEFL iBT scores before an institution sees them?
Yes, you can cancel your scores at the end of your test session. However, canceled scores cannot be reinstated or reported toinstitutions.
