Bachelor of Commerce / Bachelor of Science


he Faculty of Business and Law and the Faculty of Science, Engineering and Built Environment are responsible for this combined course which leads to the awards Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Science. This combined course enables students to study Commerce in areas such as accounting, economics, management, business information systems or marketing with a relevant Science stream such as Environmental Science, Natural history, Chemistry and Materials Science, Animal Biology, Plant Biology, Cell Biology, Human Biology and Mathematical Modelling. The Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) permits candidates with a three-year degree of sufficient quality to complete additional studies to qualify for an honours degree. Honours candidates may graduate with the BCom first or complete the honours year, without actually taking out the three-year pass degree, and qualify for the award of the degree with honours after successful completion of the four years of study. The honours year is normally available full-time or part-time
